WI Assembly to Vote on Compulsory Education Bill

The Wisconsin State Assembly will be voting on a compulsory kindergarten Bill this Wednesday, September 16th during their Noon Floor Period. Presently compulsory attendance is not required until age 6. This Assembly Bill 119 requires a child to complete five-year-old kindergarten as a prerequisite to being admitted to first grade in a public school.
