Congress Considers Overturning "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

Following the lead of President Obama, the House of Representatives is poised to vote on legislation this Thursday to repeal what is known as the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy.  If this policy is approved, it will allow for homosexuals to serve openly in the military.  Retired Chaplains have issued great concern as to how this will impact the chaplaincy ministry, veterans groups like the American Legion and VFW have gone on record for being against the change as has the Center for Military Readiness. It is being reported that Speaker Nancy Pelosi will attempt to ram through this amendment to the 2011 National Defense Authorization Act straight from the floor of the House of Representatives.  You may contact your Congressmen and Senators as follows:
